REFURBISHMENT |
We are sure you will love
what we have done with The White Lion in Autumn 2010, building on it's traditional
features we've given it a fresh outlook. Our new menu is proving very
popular along with our speciality coffees from our new machine. Sit back
and enjoy our re-landscaped garden with a new covered terrace. Inside
the bar has been moved, and we have brand new toilets. Our new private
dining room holds up to 50 people so if you have a requirement please

 The
White Lion is situated in the idyllic village
of Alvanley, a picturesque rural location with a garden overlooking
fields. This olde worlde destination food house has one bar and
little niches around the pub with traditional old beams and mix and
match furniture. We are aiming to be the warmest pub in Cheshire
with our four real fires lit in the winter. We had a
£600,000 refurbishment Autumn 2010 including the
garden being re-landscaped. We can cater
for over 140 people inside and another 40 outside during the summer
months.
We employ high quality Chefs who have
superb kitchen facilities. The food can be chosen from a main menu
or unique Specials from the chalk boards which allow our Chefs to show
their flair! You will be served meals which have been prepared
from the freshest of ingredients and cooked to order. To complement your meal there is an
extensive choice of quality wines or real ales, for which we have been
accredited the Cask Marque.
The reputation of this very
special venue has developed by word of mouth as well as by local
knowledge. People come from as far away as Wales. Being a
stones throw away from Delamere Forest we welcome walkers, ramblers,
cyclists and dog walkers from that area. Make
