From the Thomas Cook roundabout on the A47 follow signs for Longthorpe / Longthorpe Tower.  Turn into Thorpe Road by the Thorpe Wood police station and approximately 1 mile further on, before Thorpe Hall, you will find The Fox & Hounds.  The pub was rebuilt in the 1920s after it was burnt down and today it is a fully non smoking dining house which strives to create a happy, warm atmosphere.  In true Chef & Brewer style this traditional old English Pub has three real log fires, nooks, crannies and candle lit tables.  We have an excellent reputation for food with an extensive chalkboard menu which is changed regularly to give variety to our regular visitors and bar snacks.  There is a large selection of fresh fish and vegetarian dishes.  Wine is available by the glass or bottle or there is real ale if preferred.  During the summer we serve food on the patio al fresco.  This is a great venue  for that special meal, business lunch or drinks with friends.
