OUR HISTORY
In 1858 Timothy Taylor began
brewing beer in Cook Lane, Keighley. In 1863 he set up and built a
larger brewery in Knowle Spring.
The superb spring water that wells up from deep within the Pennines is
still used today in the process.
The brewery remains in the Timothy Taylor family and is now the last
independent brewery of its type in West Yorkshire. This independence
enables Taylors to survive as one of the few brewers still brewing cask
ale in the way it has always been done.
"Taylor Taste" is achieved by using only the finest natural
ingredients, taking pride in the brewing process and allowing full time for
the ales to ferment and mature, thereby creating a unique family of beers.

OUR BEERS
LANDLORD
4.3% ABV
Classic Strong Pale Ale, with a complex and hoppy aroma, has won more
awards nationally than any other beer. This includes four times as
Champion at the Brewers International and four times as CAMRA Beer of the
Year.
Refreshingly reliable, nationally renowned, this full drinking Pale Ale
has real "pulling power". This beer has won prizes for

BEST BITTER 4.0% ABV
A well balance, genuine Yorkshire bitter with full measure of
maltiness and hoppy aroma.
GOLDEN BEST 3.5% ABV
The last of the true Pennine light milds, this amber coloured
beer makes a refreshing session ale. The smooth & creamy flavour
makes it a popular choice close to the Brewery.
DARK MILD 3.5% ABV
Rich, creamy Dark Mild is a consistent Award Winner, most
recently taking the Silver Medal in the Brewery 'Oscars', (the Industry
International Awards 1998). It is especially popular in East Lancashire as
well as earning popularity as a niche guest by all lovers of a good mild.
RAM TAM 4.3% ABV
A dark, strong beer that has a reputation as a "Winter
Warmer". Wholesome and satisfying, this mellow beer has body
and depth having a pleasant fruity afterglow.
PORTER
3.8% ABV
A unique, sweet, malty stout with glorious colour and
impressive presentation. Available by special order only.
BOTTLED LANDLORD 4.1 % ABV
The Bottled version of the Classic Pale Ale that commands its
own loyal following. Bottled Landlord boasts two national awards in recent
years and is a natural selection for those who wish to enjoy beer at home.
