DINING AT THE
QUEEN'S HEAD INN |
|
Our Head Chef and his team have created an exciting,
contemporary menu reflecting the rustic
surroundings. We serve
Homemade Traditional English Fayre all freshly
prepared & cooked to order, served from our
main menu & daily changing Specials Board.
We love food at The
Queen’s Head and look forward to welcoming you to
our sumptuous restaurant where you can enjoy a warm,
cosy dinner by candlelight in a suitably relaxed and
friendly atmosphere. Of course you’re also more than welcome to enjoy a home-cooked meal
in our cosy bar or perhaps al fresco out in the courtyard –
maybe one for the summer! We our proud of our heritage and love to use fresh, local produce
wherever possible. Make sure you try the watercress
- its grown in the village.
The Queen’s Head prides itself on maintaining the highest standards
of food and service, whilst remaining loyal
to local suppliers. Today’s mass-market approach
often means that smaller, local suppliers are
overlooked and we strive to counteract that. A
labour of love, our quintessential country pub
offers great food at reasonable prices.

Atmospheric and charming, modern and stylish,
The
Queens Head Inn is one of Wiltshire’s most desirable
country pubs. Located in Broad Chalke, just 15
minutes from Salisbury’s busy city centre, the pub
dates back to the mid 15th Century. Inside
there are real log
fires, low beams, superb character features and a delectable
selection of contemporary food, wine and real ales.
The Queen’s Head represents the obvious choice for
every discerning diner or drinker looking to escape
to a quintessential country pub. Set in an
idyllic country location in an area of outstanding
natural beauty, with plenty of parking, The Queen’s
Head makes the perfect
location for anything from a business lunch to a
dinner with friends or a romantic meal for two. If you just want to relax then why not stroll around one
of many
castles or manors in the area or take a relaxed
amble along the many miles of beach. We are close to many places of interest such as
Wilton House, Salisbury Cathedral, Stonehenge and
the New Forest. Those wanting to discover some of the heritage may
want to check out some of the numerous museums,
galleries and incredible gardens around. For
the more energetic you could always hire a bike and
really discover the forest in the best way possible.
With many miles of car free cycle tracks you can get
up close to the area and its the wildlife.
Whatever you choose to do during your stay, here at
The Queen's Head we endeavour to make every visit a
truly memorable one. |
